Name: Community Dialogue on Addiction
Date: July 23, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EDT
Event Description:
The City of Huntington Prevention Task Force has planned an upcoming Community Dialogue entitled, “Addictions and the Justice System” to take place on Monday, July 23rd. The dialogue will be held at the Huntington City-Township Public Library from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm.
The purpose of the Community Dialogues on Diversity series is to bring people together around topics that affect our community and to hear different thoughts and opinions in order to understand one another more fully in diversity and disagreement. These Conversations align with and put into action the Huntington City Council mission statement which reads that Huntington will be ‘a community of civility and inclusion, where diversity is honored and differences are respected.’
There will be a panel of Huntington Community law enforcement, justice, and community rehabilitation officials. The audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions which will be submitted to the facilitator during the event. Resources will also be available to anyone with questions about treatment options in Huntington County.
Quarterly dialogues are being held throughout 2018 and 2019, and that information will be available at the dialogue. The first hour will be the panel discussion, and from 7-7:30, there will be a small group discussion time for those interested.
These dialogues are free and open to the public. For questions or more information, please call Victory Noll Center at 260.200.1740.
